Overview of services through your Sask Polytech account

Students receive a username, password, email and nine-digit ID number in their information letter, e.g., brown123, brown123@saskpolytech.ca. This is an organizational account login for many of our services (see below for how to find it).

1. Access your account and view your ID number by visiting mysaskpolytech.ca.

2. Enter your username (username@saskpolytech.ca) and enter your password.

3. Click "VIEW ALL CARDS" once you are signed into the student portal.

4. Scroll down until you see "ID Number" card. This card will display your Sask Polytech ID number.

Every staff member and student is provided a Microsoft mailbox and Sask Polytech email address, providing them with a personalized hub for managing emails, scheduling appointments, and coordinating tasks.

To access visit microsoft365.com, or portal.office.com, or click myOffice365 on mySaskPolytech. Sign-in is required. You can also use Sask Polytech's Microsoft company portal. Connecting to eduroam Wi-Fi is your passport to seamless browsing on campuses worldwide. It provides secure Internet Wi-Fi to students and employees. Sign in once using your Sask Polytech account. You will then auto-connect to every Sask Polytech campus and other participating institutions. For the fastest and safest Internet experience, we highly recommend connecting to eduroam instead of SASKPOLYTECHpublic.

To access, click on eduroam Wi-Fi on your device, type in your Sask Polytech email and password, and click connect. For more information, see:

All staff and students have free access to the Microsoft 365 suite. Microsoft 365 is a cloud-based suite of productivity tools from Microsoft. You can use Microsoft 365 from anywhere, including web, desktop, and mobile devices. It is a subscription-based evolution of Microsoft Office that includes access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and more.

To access the apps, visit microsoft365.com, or portal.office.com, or click myOffice365 on mySaskPolytech. Sign-in is required. You can also use Sask Polytech's Microsoft company portal.  For mobile use, sign in on mySaskPolytech, go to myOffice365, and click on Apps, or download from the iOS or Android app stores. OneDrive is a cloud storage service. It allows you to store personal files, share them with others, and access them from any device connected to the Internet. All staff and students are provided a Microsoft account, which comes with 5GB of free storage on OneDrive.

To access OneDrive, visit microsoft365.com, or portal.office.com, or click myOffice365 on mySaskPolytech. Sign-in is required. Brightspace is a digital hub for accessing course materials, engaging with classmates and instructors, submitting assignments, and tracking progress. It offers a user-friendly interface where students can easily navigate their courses, manage assignments, and participate in virtual testing.

To access, click on the myCourses icon on mySaskPolytech. You can also access Brightspace through Microsoft 365. For more information, see:

myWorkspace provides a dynamic platform for users to access their desktop environments remotely. With myWorkspace, users can securely log in from any device with an Internet connection, accessing their personalized desktop settings, applications, and data as if they were working locally. myWorkspace provides a virtual Windows desktop to use program-specific software, complete assignments, print and email. 

To access, log in to Brightspace, navigate to your course content, click on the myWorkspace module and then click the myWorkspace link. Saved files are frequently deleted when you log off, please save your files on OneDrive. For more information, see:

Zoom is a web-based video-conferencing application that allows you to chat and meet from anywhere, anytime, with anyone. Zoom users can use in-meeting features like the whiteboard to collaborate on projects, share screens, chat, record sessions.

To access, go to the Zoom Download page, click Download for Zoom Workplace desktop app or mobile app. For more information, see:

The IT Service Desk is a central point of contact for IT support, assistance, and guidance. We help staff and students with technical support through submitting tickets and the knowledge base. When you submit a ticket with your technical questions or issues, our team of IT experts will respond promptly to address your needs. The knowledge base provides 24/7 access to IT information, resources, and solutions. It is a collection of how-to's, in-depth descriptions, frequently asked questions (FAQs), product lists, step-by-step guides and more.
