Adding a printer that is not on secure print queue

Summary

Adding a printer that is does not print using secure print queue.

Body

In most circumstances you would print to secure print and release the job at the printer using a print fob or by logging into Papercut on the printer. See Adding or setting up a printer for instructions on setting up secure print. A few printers are not set up this way and have to be added individually.

Follow the steps below to add a printer that is not on the secure printer queue:

  1. On the HP multi-function printer, locate the name(asset #) of the printer you wish to add on the WBM Asset Tag attached to the printer.
  2. On your computer, type run in the search bar and then click on the Run (app) option

  3. A box will appear. Type \\spprint-svr-p01.siast.sk.ca  (or  \\spprint-svr-p02.siast.sk.ca ) and hit Ok.
  1. Find the printer you would like to add, right-click on it and click Connect
