Body
In summer 2026, Saskatchewan Polytechnic Moose Jaw campus will close for a period of approximately three weeks for a major upgrade of the main electrical vault. This work is part of a larger two-stage project that will see mechanical upgrades completed the following year.
This work is being done to mitigate the risk of a more disruptive unplanned emergency shutdown.
Dates and details
The projected shutdown dates are July 24 – August 16, 2026.
Moose Jaw campus will be closed to the public and to Sask Polytech faculty, staff and students for the entire shutdown and the building will be locked. All electrically powered systems including lighting, air conditioning and equipment will be off for the duration of the project. SaskBuilds and security personnel will remain onsite during the project.
All employees who normally work on campus or access or visit office or lab space during the summer will need to make alternative arrangements in coordination with their managers.
