Use you Sask Polytech log in to connect to eduroam (EDUcation ROAMing) secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community.
Once you have successfully connected to eduroam, you will have access to all authorized secure network services, applications and printers.
Select the type of device you are using and follow the steps to connect to the Sask Polytech eduroam service.
For Windows devices
- In Settings, open Wi-Fi.
- Enter or select the eduroam network. The Enter Credentials dialog box appears.
- Enter your username complete with domain. This is usually your email at your institution.
- Enter your password.
- Click the OK button to connect.
For Android devices
- Access your wireless networks settings.
- Access Wi-Fi settings
- From the CA certificate drop-down list, select Use system certificates. Ensure that "Don't Validate" is selected.
- In the Domain text box, type: siast.sk.ca
- In the Identity text box, type your Sask Polytech email address in the format username@saskpolytech.ca.
- In the Password text box, type your password.
- Click Connect.
ℹ️ For older versions of Android, you have to manually select
EAP Method = PEAP
Phase 2 Auth = MSCHAPV2
Connecting to eduroam at other institutions
To use eduroam at other institutions, connect to the service the same way you connect to eduroam at Sask Polytech with the following exceptions:
- The SSID is eduroam, all in lower case.
- Your username is your full email address. For example, doej@saskpolytech.ca.
