Public Wi-Fi at Sask Polytech

SASKPOLYTECHpublic provides open, unsecured wireless Internet access in most locations at each campus.

If you have a Sask Polytech username and password and need secure Wi-Fi with higher bandwidth, please use eduroam wi-fi.

SASKPOLYTECHpublic is an open unencrypted access service and is not scanned for viruses.  Users should ensure that their virus scanning software is installed and up-to-date as well that their firewall is enabled for public access.  By connecting to this service you agree to the SaskPolytech Appropriate Use Policy O-3.10.

Follow the steps below to connect to SASKPOLYTECHpublic Wi-Fi:

  1. Ensure wireless is turned on.
  2. Access Wireless or Wi-Fi connections either through Settings or Network Connections.
  3. Select SASKPOLYTECHpublic from the list of wireless networks and connect.
  • No login is required to use SASKPOLYTECHpublic though some services or sites may require you to login.
  • You may receive a message about connecting to an unsecured network.  You will have to select "Connect Anyway" in order to continue; click cancel if you do not want to connect. 
  • SASKPOLYTECHpublic is not scanned for viruses and uses no encryption.  Click “Connect Anyway” to accept that risk and to continue with the setup or click Cancel to stop the connection.
