Adding a printer on a Mac device

In order to print to the secure printers, add the colour and black and white print queues and then release the job at a multifunction printer.

  1. On your Mac device, open System Preferences and click on Printers & Scanners. 
  2. Click on the + to add a new printer. 

  3. Click on IP next to Default and enter the settings as indicated below
    • Address: 142.99.34.25
    • Name:  can be anything but enter something meaningful to you
    • For Driver click Use field and then "Select Software"

       
  4. Search and select “HP Color LaserJet 9500 MFP” and click Add
  1. Click OK

Once you have added the printers, select Secure_Colour or secure_BW in the print menu on your computer.

Sign into a secure multifunction printer to release the print job. If you are unable to see the print job when logged in at the multifunction printer, please submit a request.

Requirements Audience Cause
A Sask Polytech computer connected to the Sask Polytech network.   User is using a Mac computer to print to secure print queues (WBM leased printers).
